Introducing MASwings Airlines Fleets – Must Read For RC Airplanes Airliner Fans

MASwings LogoMASwings is a subsidiary company by Malaysia Airlines (MAS).  MASwings only fly in the state of Sabah and Sarawak.  Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia where I live.  MASwings fly to the rural area where MAS cannot lands.  Hence, they need fleets that requires only short take of and landing runway.  This type of airplane is called STOL Airplane where STOL stands for Short Take off and Landing.  All of their fleets are only powered by propeller engine.  None by jet engine.

If you see the logo of MASwings, the pattern before the “M” is actually a Hornbill’s beak.  Hornbill is the coat of arm for Sarawak.

About Wiguan

I like love something that can fly since I was a kid. I cannot become a pilot because I am short sighted. :( But never mind, I'll become an RC flier then.
I like rc car too.

salam….saya seorang penggemar Flight Simulator…mana saya boleh dapatkan addon untuk pesawat fokker maswing?? TQ.

  4. Charles says:

The Twin Otter is a great airplane. I flew one for years in Alaska. It is rugged, dependable and easy to fly. The crash you mention is certainly a tragedy. I don’t know any of the details, but the Twin Otter itself has an outstanding safety record. The ATR, by contrast, has had a couple very high profile crashes, both I believe due to stall/spin accidents as a result of icing.
